About Us

5footway.inn is for the social explorers, we believe that interaction with people is an important part of travel experience and we encourage explorations through the eyes of a local. The boutique budget hostel chain got its name from the five foot way corridor, which was an integral architecture feature since the colonial time in Southeast Asia shophouses. The sheltered five foot wide walkways protect pedestrians from the tropical weather. Within this sidewalk, people interact and conduct their business activities.

Part of The Uncharted Co., 5footway.inn was started in September 2011 and is now the biggest hostel chain in Singapore with properties located in the heritage-rich Chinatown, Boat Quay and Kampong Glam vicinity.
